Combining our unique track record in studying intimate, communal and sovereign practices of violence, we will enrich the research on climate change and conflict empirically and conceptually by grounding our study within selected socio-environmental fields and focusing on everyday forms of violence. Specifically, we ask: How and to what extent do relations between communities and public authorities become violent in the context of environmental change in Uganda?
